David began his apprenticeship with Molesey Coachtrimmers in 1977. This was a father and son business, Jim and Paul Stewart, based at Panther Westwinds in Byfleet.  He was part of a small team which enabled him to gain experience in all aspects of the business.  In 1980 the workshop became involved with an AC Cobra restorer, and a company creating stretched Mercedes and Rolls Royces. 

In 1983 David felt the time was right to branch out and set up his own business in Reigate, Surrey. He steadily established a solid business with faithful customers who followed him to Wiltshire when he moved in 1986.

David now has over 40 years’ experience in trimming. He has completed dozens of projects and gathered a vast body of knowledge and experience across all types of vehicle. Interesting diversions have arisen from light aircraft, horse-drawn vehicles, and specialist furniture.
